Earlier this month, our Harbour Development Manager, Pamela Neri, joined a panel of highly experienced voices from across the seafood sector, at the inaugural Scottish Ocean Cluster Summit.
The Cluster’s ambition is to unlock even more value from Scotland’s seafood side streams. And as Scotland’s largest nephrops port, Fraserburgh sits right at the heart of this ambition.
The Summit was a great opportunity for us to talk about Fraserburgh’s ongoing strategy to safeguard our fishing industry, whilst hearing directly from processors, biotech companies, researchers and investors about the facilities, infrastructure and services they will want to see in place.
The Summit made clear how much drive there is on this topic across industry, academia and government – and the insight and experience in the room sparked the kind of conversations this work depends on.
Thank you to the Scottish Ocean Cluster, Seafood Scotland and IBioIC for bringing everyone together.
