We provide all essential services for the fishing fleet with an extensive local supply chain ranging from transport, fuel, ice, ships chandlery, quayside mending areas, net manufacturers etc. Information on these can be obtained from the Harbour Office during office hours or from the Marine Watchtower, outside normal working hours.

Fishing at Fraserburgh Harbour

We offer extensive shore-based facilities and all essential services for the fishing fleet.

Fraserburgh Harbour is also home to a number of the large pelagic fishing vessels who class Fraserburgh Harbour as their “home” port. These vessels can be seen moored in the Balaclava basin between fishing seasons for mackerel, herring, blue whiting etc.

The Harbour offers extensive shore-based facilities, with fresh water and shore power throughout the port as are waste disposal and waste oil and filter reception facilities.

Our Fishmarkets

The markets cover 3100 square metres and can handle 6,000 boxes of fish daily and has full Wi-Fi internet connection.

Fraserburgh boasts two of the most completely chilled up to date fish markets in the UK. Ensuring both markets are capable of maintaining a temperature of +1ºC, allowing all fish and nephrops to be kept in prime condition prior to sale. The market is available for landing 24hrs a day, 5 days a week, (Sunday mid-day through to 06:00 Friday).
